The Rise, St. Patrick’s Island

Movie on The Rise at St. Patrick's Island is a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of the city. Watch the sunset over the city and the Bow and experience outdoor cinema on a 9-metre-high natural amphitheater at the center of the island.

This year features a DOUBLE feature of two classic movies. Grab your popcorn and a blanket to snuggle up for a night of timeless faves everyone loves.

• Blankets, sleeping bags, snuggies, pillows, whatever floats your boat and keeps you warm
• LAYERS - It's Calgary so weather can range from bikinis to parkas. Best to layer up and stay cozy
• Pro tip: We recommend bringing a tarp or waterproof material to sit on to stay dry and keep your belongings clean

How to Get Here
• By Foot: There is pedestrian access from East Village or Bridgeland via the George C. King Bridge.
• By Bike: Bike parking is available all over the island
• By Scooter: Please be courteous and keep the pathways clear when parking your scooter
• By Car: Parking available on St. Patrick's Island (west zoo lot) or East Village
