Construction & Road Closures
VEHICLE LANE RESTRICTIONS: 4 ST S.E
To facilitate urgent utility maintenance on 4 St S.E., vehicle lane restrictions will be in place on 4 St S.E. between 6 Ave and 7 Ave beginning Wednesday, July 16. North-south traffic access will be maintained.
Sidewalk restrictions will be in place at 3 St and 6 Ave S.E. to allow for placement of temporary boilers to maintain service. Follow detour signs and flaggers. No impact to utilities service anticipated.
ROAD CLOSURE: DAY OF THE DOG - JULY 26-27
The Day of The Dog is the biggest party for dogs and their people in the country!
8th Avenue between 4th and 6th Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6am July 26 overnight to 7pm July 27
PATHWAY CLOSURE: SOUTH OF THE MUSIC PAVILION
A section of the pathway will be closed south of the Music Pavilion for ongoing maintenance work. Pathway detours are in place.
4th Avenue Flyover
The wait is over, and the path is clear. The 4 Avenue Flyover has officially reopened both lanes to traffic during peak hours, months ahead of the scheduled completion date, helping to keep commuters moving just in time for summer.
While the major work is now behind us, finishing touches to the flyover are still underway. Commuters can expect some off-peak (9 AM to 3 PM), single lane closures over the summer to fully complete the planned work to the bridge. The site is still an active construction area, so we ask motorists to proceed with caution and respect all posted signage while crews wrap up.

BOW RIVER PATHWAY CLOSURE
From January 2024 to July 2025, the Bow River pathway in Bridgeland between St. Patrick’s Island and Baines Bridge will be closed to facilitate work on the Inglewood sanitary trunk project. Detours, and accompanying signage are in place. Find a map of the pathway closure and detours here.
